Getting Started with the Chrome Extension
The Chrome Extension has features that make communication easy no matter which browser tab you're working in. It allows you to:

Stay connected across all tabs

Make sure to install and pin the Chrome Extension for easy access.
Using the Chrome Extension
Whether you’re handling inbound or outbound communication, the smrtPhone icon in your browser gives you instant access to the Chrome Extension Dialer.
To get started, you must have at least one phone number in your smrtPhone number portfolio. This applies to both the Chrome Extension and the Mobile App.
Click-to-Call and Click-to-Text
Once the extension is installed, smrtPhone enhances your GoHighLevel experience by automatically adding Call | Send Text hyperlinks next to every phone number. This means instant communication, right from your CRM or any other tab.
Tick the Click to Call button next to a phone number to initiate an outbound call. The smrtPhone Chrome Extension will pop up and dial the number for you, no extra steps required.
The Click-to-text functionality is the same.
Click Send Text beside any contact number to open a text message window. You can:
Compose and send messages on the spot
Use pre-made SMS Templates for faster outreach
Please be aware that at this moment, no call notes are sent to your CRM (Coming soon.)
Message Logs and Inbox
All sent and received text messages are automatically recorded in your SMS Logs within Conversations or Opportunities. You can also find them in your smrtPhone Inbox accessible via your smrtPhone Dashboard.
Depending on your GHL plan, you could have the smrtPhone Logs Custom Object, which will enhance the tracking experience, meaning all your communication will be logged in one place, with better history and details than just mentioned in Conversations.

For the best experience, we recommend using the official installation process for smrtPhone and the Chrome Extension. Taking a different route may prevent action buttons from showing inside your platform. While the extension will still work from the browser tab, powerful features like Click-to-Call and Click-to-Text won’t be available directly within your workflow, within GHL platform.
