Compliance is an important and active process for any business. As businesses and individuals, we all want our privacy respected. It's imperative you make it clear and easy for anyone to opt out of communication with your business.

smrtPhone allows you to offer your callers the option to opt-out of a conversation. During a conversation you can mark them DNC at any time (it's mandatory if they ask!) or you can allow them to opt-out directly by themselves.

The DNC Applet can be used with your Call Flows IVR Applet, giving your callers the power to unsubscribe or opt-out from your calls and texts.

How to Use the DNC Applet

The DNC Applet can be used with the IVR Applet in Call Flows to create an option for callers to add themselves to your Do Not Call list.

Drag the IVR Applet into the Flow Editor to program menu options. Select a keypress number to be designated for DNC, then drag the DNC Applet to that key press.

When the caller selects that option, they will hear a confirmation message, and then the call will be disconnected. From that point on, they will be added to your DNC list and that number will not be attempted again.

Make sure you explain in your IVR Menu Prompt message which keypress is for the IVR.

See the DNC Status

If you set a DNC status for any of your leads, you can easily see this labeled in smrtPhone. Access the Contacts menu from your dashboard to see the status of the lead.

Salesforce Users

After you mark a lead as DNC, this new action will be synced to your CRM and can be seen in the Comments section.
