Before you can use smrtPhone, you need a smrtPhone account with an active subscription.
As with any newly created account, you will receive a $7 credit to apply toward usage that comes once you activated your trial account.
The remainder of your usage will be your responsibility (call minutes, text messages, call recording, etc.) and will require maintaining a credit balance on your account.
Both the subscription and the credit balance are at the company account level, meaning all team members will draw from the same pool.

Decide what type of user category you fall into.
Depending on whether you've used smrtPhone before or are brand new to the system, activating the integration with InvestorFuse has different requirements.
To set up your account, there are three paths you can take:
Path 1 - Move Existing smrtPhone Account
You have an existing smrtPhone account and you want to move it over to work with InvestorFuse. This will disconnect it from your current CRM.
Path 2 - Keep Existing Account & Create New One for InvestorFuse
You have an existing smrtPhone account, but want a new account to test with InvestorFuse. This is a good option if you are not sure if you want to leave your current CRM - you maintain two separate smrtPhone accounts (for testing).
Path 3 - New to smrtPhone
You do not have a current smrtPhone account and need to set up a new account.
Note: If you have an inactive/canceled smrtPhone account and want to use the same email address, you should follow Path 1.
Path 1 - You have an existing smrtPhone account and you want to move it over to work with InvestorFuse
If you have an existing smrtPhone account you can move it over to work with your InvestorFuse account.
Please note: once you complete this step your smrtPhone account will no longer be connected to your current CRM system and will only be connected to your InvestorFuse account.
🔀 To move from your current CRM to InvestorFuse:
When logged into your smrtPhone account, copy and paste the following link into another tab in your browser: https://phone.smrt.studio/setup/connectCrm
This will take you to the Connect CRM page and select the “Connect to InvestorFuse” button. This will redirect you to log in with your InvestorFuse credentials.
Once completed you will be connected to InvestorFuse and no longer to the previous CRM
Path 2 - You have an existing smrtPhone account, but want to create a new account to test with InvestorFuse
If you have an existing account with smrtPhone and want to create a new account to test with InvestorFuse you can do so.
Please note: this will be a separate account completely and your numbers/call history/users will not carry over. (You can move numbers over to the new account from your old one at a later date if you wish, but it is not instantaneous and requires a request from support).
⚙️ To create a new account to test with InvestorFuse:
Log out of your existing smrtPhone account
Click on http://bit.ly/smrtPhone-investorfuse (If it takes you to the Dashboard, you are not logged out fully. If this issue persists even after fully logged out, copy the URL to an incognito window to start fresh.)
Fill in the form and click “Start Your Free Trial” at the bottom of the form.
This will take you to the Connect CRM page and select “Connect to InvestorFuse”. This will redirect you to log in with your InvestorFuse credentials.
Use the API Key from your InvestorFuse "My Settings" page and select the Team.
Once you have logged in you will be asked to add your credit card information (for usage and also for when you activate your subscription) and to select a plan. We recommend the monthly smrtPhone Pro plan and use the coupon code our Support Team will provide.
‼️ IMPORTANT: The last step is to activate the subscription so the Trial Limitations are removed. You can activate it from the banner at the top of the smrtPhone Web App dashboard. Detailed instructions are available here >>
Path 3 - You do not have a current smrtPhone account and need to set up a new account
🆕 To configure a new smrtPhone account from scratch, follow these steps:
Click on: http://bit.ly/smrtPhone-investorfuse
Fill in the form and click “Start Your Free Trial” at the bottom of the form
Press on "Connect to InvestorFuse" to be able to log in with your CRM credentials
To connect with your CRM you now need to add an API Key. This API Key is to be found within your main InvestorFuse page, within My Settings.
Enter the API Key/Token on the smrtPhone page, where it is required, and press "Connect".
Once you have logged in you will be asked to select a plan and enter your credit card information (for usage and for when you activate your subscription). This screen is also where you would enter any discount codes you may have received from InvestorFuse.
Connect to your InvestorFuse Team by selecting from the drop-down menu.
IMPORTANT: You will automatically be placed into a Trial Plan, which is a free 30-day subscription, but with limitations. If you want full use of smrtPhone, you must activate your subscription.
8. Now you begin to set up your smrtPhone and buy your first number!
