Phone Numbers Section Overview

Access the Phone Numbers section via smrtPhone Dashboard > Admin > Phone Numbers.

Once in this tab, you can find different options and features:

  • View Active Phone Numbers from the main Phone Numbers page

  • Buy a New Phone Number by clicking βž• Get a Number at the top right

  • Manage Call Flows - Inbound communication is impossible without a Call Flow so we've added a button to quickly manage your Call Flows from the Phone Numbers page

  • Friendly Names - make Phone Numbers easy to identify, and you can edit them easily from here

    Learn how β‡’

  • Identify Call Flows the number is associated with. If this field is blank when the number is dialed, nothing will happen. Make sure you have at least a basic Call Flow set for each number that identifies which User receives incoming communication. You can change the Call Flow directly from the Phone Number rather than going to the Call Flow builder.

    • Example use case: holiday hours messages that are only needed for a short period of time.

  • View Capabilities of each Number - Voice, SMS, MMS texts

  • Sort by Purchase Date - The Created column indicates the date the phone number was added to your Account

  • Text Compliant - Confirm whether your Phone Number is verified for business texting under A2P 10DLC regulations

  • Delete a Number via the Trash Can icon associated with the Phone Number. Remember that when you remove a phone number, it's permanent!

Hot Tip: Duplicate a Call Flow when you want to re-use settings for multiple Flows. Rename it and assign it to as many Numbers as you want!

Filter Your Phone Number Portfolio

By using the blue Filter button above the table of numbers, you can narrow down the list of Phone Numbers in your Portfolio based on:

  • Friendly Name

  • Phone Number

  • Created Date

In the Friendly Name and Phone Number fields, you can enter just a few digits/characters to pull a list of all the numbers that contain them. For example, type just the 3-digit area code to see all that matches.
