Setting up a smrtPhone Account for Use in Your CRM

There are three paths to activating smrtPhone within your CRM account

Before you can use smrtPhone with your CRM, you need a smrtPhone account with an active subscription.

smrtPhone currently supports integrations with these CRM platforms:

  • Podio

  • Salesforce

  • InvestorFuse

  • REISift

  • Forefront

  • Realeflow

  • Tape

  • Invelo

  • REI Software CRMs

Within the Salesforce and Podio umbrellas, there are many CRM configurations that we integrate with, such as Beast Mode and REIvolution for Podio and Left Main, Billions, and Streamline REI for Salesforce.

We are actively working on several new CRM integrations.

However, if you don't belong to any CRM, you can create a smrtPhone Standalone account. Read more and find out how to create a trial


Three Scenarios for Connecting smrtPhone to Your CRM

If you have an inactive/canceled smrtPhone account and want to use the same email address, you should follow Path 1.


First Path

You have an existing smrtPhone account and you want to move it over to work with a new CRM. To move from the current CRM to the new CRM:

  1. When logged into your smrtPhone account, copy and paste the following link into another tab in your browser: https://phone.smrt.studio/setup/connectCrm

  2. This will take you to the Connect CRM page. Select the button that corresponds to your new CRM. Log in with your new CRM credentials.

  3. Once completed, you will be connected to the new CRM and no longer to the current CRM.

  4. There is one additional step if you are a Salesforce User. You will need to install the smrtPhone CTI dialer that embeds the phone into your CRM.

Once you complete this step your smrtPhone account will no longer be connected to your current CRM system and will only be connected to your new CRM account.


Second Path

If you have an existing account with smrtPhone and want to create a new account to test with a new CRM you can do so.

  1. If you have a sign-up link from your CRM provider or Affiliate, please use that to create an account and make sure you are attached to their portfolio. If you do not have a link you can go directly to our Start Trial page

  2. Fill in the form and click Start Your Free Trial at the bottom of the form.

  3. This will take you to the Connect CRM page. Select the button that corresponds to your new CRM. Log in with your new CRM credentials.

  4. Once you have logged in you will be asked to select a plan and enter your credit card information (for usage and also for when you activate your subscription). This screen is also where you would enter the special unique discount code you may have received from your CRM provider / Affiliate.

  5. There is one additional step if you are a Salesforce User. You will need to install the smrtPhone CTI dialer that embeds the phone into your CRM.

    Follow these instructions
    All other CRMs can use the smrtPhone Chrome Extension to enable one-click calling and texting from within the CRM.

  6. ❗Important: This new smrtPhone account will automatically be placed into a Trial Plan, which is a free 14-day subscription, but with limitations. If you want full use of smrtPhone, you must activate your subscription.

Please note this will be a separate account completely and your numbers/call history/users will not carry over.

You can move numbers over to the new account from your old one at a later date if you wish, but it is not instantaneous and requires a request from support.


Third Path

You do not have a current smrtPhone account and need to set up a new account

  1. If you have a sign-up link from an Affiliate or your CRM provider, please use that to get to our Start Trial (new account) form to make sure you are attached to their portfolio. If you do not have a link you can go directly to our Start Trial page

  2. Fill in the form and click Submit at the bottom of the form.

  3. This will take you to the Connect CRM page. Select the button that corresponds to your new CRM. Log in with your new CRM credentials.

  4. Once you have logged in you will be asked to select a plan and enter your credit card information (for usage and also for when you activate your subscription). This screen is also where you would enter the unique special discount code you may have received from your CRM provider / smrtPhone Affiliate.

  5. Salesforce Users: there is one additional step. You will need to install the smrtPhone CTI dialer to embed the phone into your CRM and enable click-to-call.

    Follow these instructions
    All other CRMs can use the smrtPhone Chrome Extension to enable one-click calling and texting from within the CRM.

  6. ❗Important: This new smrtPhone account will automatically be placed into a Trial Plan, which is a free 14-day subscription, but with limitations. If you want full use of smrtPhone, you must activate your subscription.
